A form-fill-seal (FFS) system for single-dose packaging, which also features in-line digital printing, enables vertical integration of high-volume sachet production and helps packagers bring printing in-house.
The AlphaFlex print-FFS machine from V-Shapes, developed in partnership with Memjet and ColorGATE, enables on-demand production of single-dose sachets with high-quality synchronized printing on both sides. The sachet structure also provides one-handed opening.
The new machine, which uses Memjet’s DuraFlex technology and ColorGATE’s Packaging Productionserver software, has a compact footprint and prints in full color at 1,600 dots per inch (dpi). It integrates in-line printing into the V-Shapes six-lane Alpha machine.
The system’s printing module prints each side of the single-dose sachets in-line. The two sides are synchronized with each other and carefully coupled for die-cutting, filling, and sealing.
V-Shapes will be exhibiting this new product at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2021 (Las Vegas Convention Center, September 27-29), Booth C-4703.
